We are a married duo of creators. Our favorite pastime together, making “things”, through various outlets over the past 20 years, has led us to this passion. Through our shared appreciation for the artistry of real craftsmanship, we aim to embrace a time when every creation held a personal touch.
Our passion lies in the meticulous craft and creative design process of crafting custom vintage-style fedoras. Committed to upholding the authentic practices of the hatter profession, we take no shortcuts in our methods. Continually refining and enhancing our skills with each hat we create, we strive to deliver high-quality, fine handcrafted fur felt fedoras that stand the test of time.
While most custom hatters purchase their sweatbands and liners pre-manufactured, every part of our custom fedoras is thoughtfully designed and handmade from carefully curated materials.
Alan, a U.S. Army Veteran, is indeed a talented and passionate hatter who takes great pride in his craft. He specializes in creating custom fine handcrafted fur felt fedoras, each meticulously made to order. Alan's process involves selecting the highest quality materials and hand-shaping each hat to perfection. With a vintage signature style, his attention to detail and craftsmanship shine through in every hat he creates. Alan prefers working with only the best materials, from exotic beaver fur felt, pure silk, goatskin leather, to grosgrain ribbon, always ensuring that each hat meets his high standards of quality and comfort.
Alan’s qualifications go beyond his craftsmanship. Alan is an experienced and talented Mechanical Engineer and ASU alumni.
